Human rights

Before the genocide in Rwanda broke out in 1994, alot of even led up to the death of over 800, 000 people. First of all, there was a massive civil war taking place in Rwanda, similar to WWII in germany and the holocaust, only not to the same extent. Leaders and government officals were fighting for control and were trying to exterminate any subhumans. Before the civil war, germany ahd control of Rwanda after the scramble for Africa, and the germans had alto fo influence on the people in Rwanda, the Hutu and the Tutsi and other ethinic groups had no freedom during this time. As the genocide broke out, there was no evident of human rights given towad tHe Hutu and the Tutsi. They were abused, tortured and massacred over a period of about 100 days. These peopel were stripped of their rights, and werent allowed to be free indivuiduals. Living in war camps, being starved, tortured and fighting for survial ever day, watching their loved ones be slaughtered, they had absolutly nothing, no rights, no life.

I think this shows how our society had changed so much from having no human rights for people to a lot, and its a good lesson to learn that we shouldnt take peoples rights because it will just end up in violence.

I think this shows how much we changed over the past. Now everyone has rights and equality. Or at least has the rights to have these things even if they dont. I like this post because it shows how advanced and civilzied our society has become.
